Ryan La Via is an award-winning filmmaker from Thunder Bay, Ontario, best known for his emotionally charged and widely praised feature-length documentary "A SOBERING STORY" (2024).
A graduate of Confederation College's Film Production program, he previously directed the community-focused hockey documentary "CUP CONFIDENTIAL" (2020) and contributed the short segment "RED LIGHT" to the Guinness World Record-holding collaborative feature "50 KISSES" (2014). His work is celebrated for its authenticity, emotional depth, and cultural reach.
